What services does Mayline provide?

Hong Kong–Macau journeys use the Hong Kong–Zhuhai–Macao Bridge.

Services
How much is a private car from Hong Kong Airport to Macau?

Hong Kong Airport ⇄ Macau: daytime reference fare HK$2,600 (meet-and-greet included on airport pickups), depending on traffic and time of travel.

Choose the seamless transfer option and it is about HK$300 less; your instant quote is final. Night surcharge HK$400; holiday dates and extra stops are extra. The price is for the whole car with driver, up to 6 passengers, and includes tolls and border fees. Other Hong Kong areas, daytime reference fares: Hong Kong Island ⇄ Macau HK$3,400; Kowloon ⇄ Macau HK$3,200; New Territories West ⇄ Macau HK$2,900; other areas get an instant quote online.

Pricing
Is there a promotion on Mayline fares right now?

Yes, until 30 November 2026.

For Hong Kong ⇄ Macau and Macau ⇄ Guangdong trips, the instant quote on the booking page is currently about 20% lower than the reference fares written on this site. Hong Kong ⇄ mainland China, point-to-point within Hong Kong or Macau, and car charter are not part of this promotion. Your instant quote is final.

Is the price per person or per car?

Per car.

The whole car and driver are yours: no sharing and no per-seat tickets. One seven-seat luxury MPV takes up to 6 passengers, and your instant quote shows the price for your trip.

Fleet & standards
Is it the same car all the way to my Macau hotel?

With the direct car, yes — one car door to door, with no change of vehicle.

Your driver picks you up at Hong Kong International Airport or any Hong Kong address and drives across the Hong Kong–Zhuhai–Macao Bridge to your Macau hotel door, so there is no ferry or bus to catch with your bags. If you choose the seamless transfer option, you change cars once at a designated transfer point.

Do I have to get out of the car at the border?

For Macau entry, it depends on your passport.

At the Macao Port of the Hong Kong–Zhuhai–Macao Bridge, nationals of Macau visa-free countries may stay in the car for entry with a valid passport. Anyone who needs a Macau visa or an Entry Permit (visa on arrival) must clear at the arrival hall or the Clearance Hall for On-board Passengers, and cannot stay in the car for entry. Nationals of Bangladesh, Nepal, Nigeria, Pakistan, Sri Lanka and Vietnam need a Macau visa in advance; visa on arrival does not apply. Hong Kong departure, and the journey from Macau to Hong Kong, are not a nationality list for staying in the car. Have your documents ready and follow any instruction the officers give on the day. On trips to or from mainland China, passengers get out at the mainland checkpoint for the border check, then rejoin the same car.

Are your cars licensed and insured?

Yes. Every vehicle is licensed for hire and covered by commercial insurance.

Both ways we run between Hong Kong and Macau — a direct car or a seamless car change — use licensed cars, and both are insured.

How many licensed cross-boundary hire cars run between Hong Kong and Macau?

100 government quotas in total (60 Hong Kong, 40 Macau) for pre-booked, point-to-point cross-boundary hire cars over the bridge, one vehicle each.

Private-car bridge quotas on both sides are for private use only: a Hong Kong quota car must be a non-commercial private car and cannot hold a hire car permit; a Macau quota private car may not carry passengers for reward. Company details
Will traffic or exchange rates change my confirmed price?

Your price is fixed when you book; after payment, traffic, fuel prices and exchange rates do not change it.

The point-to-point fare includes road tolls, tunnel fees and the driver. Costs incurred on the day, such as excess waiting and extra stops, are charged separately and explained before collection.

Pricing and extra charges
Is there a night surcharge?

Only for pickups between 23:00 and 07:00.

On Hong Kong Airport ⇄ Macau trips the night surcharge is HK$400; on other routes it is HK$100–400. If your booked pickup time is between 23:00 and 07:00, it is already included in your quote. If only the actual pickup falls in that window, for example after a delayed flight or a late start, the driver collects it and explains the amount first.

Charges on the day
How is a charter priced, and what is the minimum duration?

Charters are priced by the hour, with a 4-hour minimum and durations of 4–14 hours.

Hong Kong is HK$400 per hour (4-hour minimum, from HK$1,600) and Macau is HK$300 per hour (4-hour minimum, from HK$1,200), up to 14 hours; a higher hourly rate applies in holiday periods. Current rates, selectable durations and availability are shown on the booking page. Parking, tolls and similar charter costs are paid separately as incurred.

Charter pricing
Is waiting time included in a point-to-point transfer?

Airport pick-ups include 60 minutes of free waiting, counted from the actual landing; other point-to-point transfers include 30 minutes.

Extra waiting is charged at HK$400 per hour, with part of an hour counted as a full hour. This is a point-to-point waiting fee, not a charter rate.

Point-to-point extra charges
How much luggage fits in the car?

Up to 6 passengers; luggage guide: 4 × 28-inch + 2 × 20-inch suitcases.

Please mention prams, wheelchairs or oversized items in the booking notes so we can confirm they fit.

Fleet & standards
Do you provide child seats?

Yes, child seats and booster seats are free of charge.

Hong Kong law requires children under 8 who are shorter than 1.35 m to ride in a child seat or booster seat. When you book, write the number, ages and heights of the children in the Notes so we can prepare.

No extra charge. If your device uses a less common connector, we suggest bringing your own cable.

Can I get a refund if I cancel?

Your refund depends on how long before pickup you cancel.

The exact hours and percentages are shown on the booking and order pages. Cancelling just before pickup or not appearing may mean no refund. You can cancel on the My order page.

Cancellation policy
Where is my refund sent, and how long does it take?

Refunds return to the original payment method and are generally processed within 5 to 10 working days.

The time it takes to appear on your statement depends on your card issuer. If we cannot supply a vehicle for a reason attributable to us, we give a full refund regardless of cancellation timing.

Refund information
Is paying online safe? What can I pay with?

Payments are processed by Stripe.

When you tap Continue to payment, you go to Stripe's encrypted checkout page and enter your card only there — our site never sees or stores your card number. Stripe is certified to PCI DSS Level 1, the card industry's highest security standard. We accept Visa, Mastercard, American Express, UnionPay cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay, Link, WeChat Pay and Alipay (Apple Pay shows in Safari on iPhone, iPad and Mac; the methods you actually see are those shown on the Stripe payment page). After payment you receive a payment confirmation email and a link to your order; refunds go back to the original payment method.

I booked a direct car. Could it be switched to a transfer?

If, for reasons on our side (most often a short-notice booking when no suitable car is available), we cannot run the direct car you booked, we will contact you first and will not switch you to a transfer without your agreement.

After the trip we refund the difference between the direct and seamless-transfer prices quoted when you booked, to your original payment method. This rarely happens with bookings made in advance.

I booked a seamless transfer but got a direct car. Do I pay the difference?

No.

That is an upgrade on us, at no extra charge — if we give you a better arrangement, we don't charge more.

What if my flight is delayed or cancelled, or a border crossing closes?

If your flight is cancelled (not your doing), tell us at least 4 hours before pick-up and we will refund you in full.

WhatsApp or call +852 9297 6369 — please don't cancel it yourself on My order, as a self-cancellation is refunded by the cancellation tiers. For a delayed flight we meet you at the actual landing time, and waiting time starts when it lands; border closures and other events outside your control are not treated as cancellations — contact us as soon as possible to rearrange, or email mayline@mayline.com.hk.

Special circumstances
Do I need to call to cancel if my plans change?

No. Cancel on your My order page yourself.

The system works out the refund straight away based on how long before pick-up you cancel and returns it to your original payment method, normally within 5 to 10 working days; the exact time bands and percentages are shown on your order page. If your flight is cancelled (not by you), tell us as described in the flight question above instead of cancelling yourself.

Cancellation and refund policy
Can I contact my driver directly?

Yes. After booking, the chat on your My order page is one conversation with both our customer service and the driver for your trip.

Customer service replies are translated into your language, and the driver’s messages are shown as written; once the driver confirms, the order page also shows the driver’s phone number.

My order
What if the driver doesn’t show up?

Once your driver confirms, the order page shows the driver, phone number and plate, and the chat lets you know.

If a driver hasn’t confirmed or set off when due, the system reminds the driver first, then alerts our dispatch team to follow up. If we cannot provide a car for reasons on our side, you get a full refund.

Cancellation and refund policy
When does customer service reply?

We're available 24/7: instant replies 08:00–23:00 Hong Kong time, limited support from 23:00 to 08:00.

Reach us any time by WhatsApp or phone on +852 9297 6369 or by email at mayline@mayline.com.hk; overnight messages are received and answered as soon as possible. After booking you can leave a message in the chat at any hour; overnight, if a driver does not respond, the system reminds the driver and alerts our dispatch team. If you lose your order link, recover it on the My order page with your order number and email or phone.

My order
Can I communicate in my own language?

Yes. After booking, you can write in your own language in the chat on your My order page.

Our customer service team sees a Chinese translation. Our customer service replies are translated into your language and confirmed by our team before sending. Supported languages include Japanese, Korean, Thai, Indonesian, Vietnamese, Portuguese, Russian, Spanish, French and German. The booking page remains in English and Traditional Chinese. Phone, WhatsApp and email support are available 24/7: instant replies 08:00–23:00 Hong Kong time, limited support at other hours.

Can I visit the Tsuen Wan office to make a booking?

No. The Tsuen Wan address is our correspondence address, not a retail branch.

There is no walk-in service; business is handled online. Please use the website, email mayline@mayline.com.hk or call +852 9297 6369.
